Santa Lucia Farm was founded in 1997 by the late Dr. Van Snow. Since its inception, the goal of the dedicated staff has been to address the lameness and reproductive needs of the performance horse. The farm and veterinary facility is constituted of 10 beautiful acres in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley. Visitors always remark that Santa Lucia Farm exudes a tranquil and relaxing setting. Performance horses from all different English and Western disciplines come here to be rehabilitated or conditioned using the Aquatread, Eurociser and two beautiful arenas. We offer twenty four hour a day mare care and foaling services. The staff is dedicated to treating the individual needs of every client and patient.

Dr Andres Macouzet was born in Mexico City. He achieved his veterinary degree with honors at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. Dr. Andres has always focused his studies in equine medicine. After graduation he worked in Mexico City for private practitioners dedicated to sports medicine in show jumpers and dressage horses. In 2006 Dr. Andres moved to California to learn more in the fields of lameness and reproduction and to work under the guidance of Dr. Van Snow at Santa Lucia Farm. Andres has developed a special interest in ultrasound. He is currently working on completing the ISELP certification program. In his free time he enjoys outdoor activities and attending Three Day Horse Show Events with his beautiful wife Jennifer Wooten.

Fernando Canales was born in Puebla City, Mexico where he lived and studied until he finished high school. He then moved to Sevilla, Spain where he worked on an Andalusian horse farm for 4 months.
Fernando achieved his veterinary degree from the University of Veracruz, Mexico. He then worked in the Parque Loro Zoo in Puebla City for 1 year. Seeking to grow professionally and to devote himself to the things he really wanted to do, he accepted an internship at Unidad Medica Equina- an equine hospital in Mexico City where he concentrated on reproduction, lameness and dentistry. In 2009 he had the opportunity to work in Argentina at an equine breeding facility.
Fernando joined the Santa Lucia Farm team in 2011. In 2012 Fernando married his beautiful wife Fernanda. They reside at Santa Lucia Farm. In their spare time they enjoy traveling, meeting new people and outdoor activities.

Dr. Ian Campbell was born and raised in Annapolis, California. He completed his undergraduate and veterinary schooling at UC Davis. He joined the team at Santa Lucia Farm in 2008. Ian's specialties include lameness and podiatry. He currently spends two days a week shoeing specialty cases at the clinic. In his spare time Ian enjoys diving, spear fishing and riding his dirt bike.
